UI Developer

Responsibilities

• Elegantly implement page designs in standards-compliant Dynamic XHTML and CSS
• Implement functionality in JavaScript using Ajax frameworks like Dojo or JSON-RPC
• Collaborate with the design team to define the information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability following W3C standards.
• Manage the overall visual design for the application, including all branding and navigational elements
• Work closely with back-end developers to find ways to push the limits of existing Web technology in service of creating the best possible user experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years User Interface Development experience or equivalent
• Strong Web application design skills, including information Architecture, interface design and visual design
• Strong Web development skills, including JavaScript, DHTML (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and XML
• Working knowledge of industry standard visual design tools (Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides
• Excellent project management skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly kinetic environment
• Excellent communication skills

Experience in the following a plus:

• Web application development experience with ASP.NET and/or PHP
• Usability testing and user research
• Polished style, Web application look-and-feel

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must submit a portfolio of their relevant work which will be the base for them to be considered for an interview.
• Male candidates must have their military service completed or deferred for a minimum of 1 year period.
